Baby Leah Newborn Session | Stefanie Cole Photography | Milford, CT Newborn Photographer

After having a slew of boys in my first year of business, it seems I'm now on a baby girl streak. I am really enjoying using all of the adorable accessories I have accumulated over the past several months.  For this session I traveled to Milford, CT for Baby Leah's newborn photoshoot.  This little girl was on her best behavior for our session.  She slept like a dream, and is the first baby in my career who did not poop or pee on me at all...photographer win!  Is she not just the cutest little thing you've ever seen?

A huge reason why this session was so successful was because Mom and Dad followed my prep instructions to a T.   They kept Leah awake before I got there, warmed their apartment up above 80 degrees, and gave her a nice big feeding before we started.  All of these small steps go a long way in ensuring that a newborn sleeps through their (mostly naked) photo shoot!

This was such a lovely maternity session at Bruce Park in Greenwich, CT.  I'd never been to this park before, but it was so lovely!  The colors were absolutely gorgeous and it was perfect weather for us.

Baby Jaliyah's First Birthday | Stefanie Cole Photography | Stratford, CT Cake Smash Photographer

This shoot is extra special to me because Baby Jaliyah was my very first newborn that I photographed almost a year ago. It means the world to me that Mom and Dad chose to use me again for her first birthday cake smash session.  I am quickly learning that watching my little clients grow is the best part of this job.

Jaliyah was not even 5 lbs when I photographed her as a newborn, but she has grown into a big, strong little girl and she loved this cake!  It toppled over at the end, but that didn't slow her down.  We did our session at one of my favorite spots, Booth Memorial Park in Stratford, CT.  There were just a few blooms left that we were able to snag as the perfect backdrop for her cake smash!

Baby Maisie Newborn Session | Stefanie Cole Photography | Trumbull, CT Newborn Photographer

Well, in case you missed the abundance of pictures I posted...baby Maisie is here!  She was born 7 lbs 5 oz, 20.5 inches and one month later is already up to 9 lb 13 oz, 21.5 inches.  This little girl is one tough cookie, and loves to eat, hold her head up, and get kisses from her brother.

I understand now why people recommend that you hire a photographer to do your own newborn photos.  The process of taking these was a disaster, which is by no means an exaggeration, and she was my most uncooperative client to date.  But nonetheless, we got some beautiful images and one month later, I'm going to stop torturing her for a bit :)

A Rustic Farm Engagement | Stefanie Cole Photography | Trumbull, CT Engagement Photographer

Amie and Zac were such an absolute pleasure to work with for their engagement shoot.  They were super laid back, trusted me with whatever I asked them to do, and clearly could not get enough of each other.  But don't be fooled, a session this fantastic takes a lot of planning.  So many emails back and forth discussing what to wear, where to do it, and when...but it all pays off when you see the outcome!

When Amie told me they wanted a rustic farm location, I immediately thought of a venue I'd been dying to use.  Candlelight Farms Inn in New Milford, CT turned out to be the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous couple.  The weather was perfect on the day of our shoot, surprisingly sandwiched between two dreary rainy days.  The trees were in bloom, the breeze blew just right, and we had an amazing sunset that gave us the best buttery light to complement our gorgeous venue.
